Java and Jazz brings Livingston Taylor to the Midland Theatre on Saturday

Mental Health America of Licking County’s annual Java and Jazz event is getting a reboot this year.

The 15th annual event will again feature Custom stage configurations for its live and silent auctions, but will get an exciting new twist with a performance by Livingston Taylor.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. Saturday at The Midland Theatre, 36 N. Park Place, in Newark. Tickets are $45 for access to the live auction and concert or $125 for VIPs. VIPs will have access to the venue at 6 p.m. and Taylor will take the stage at 8 p.m.

Java and Jazz is MHALC’s largest fundraiser of the year, with proceeds helping the organization provide support groups and travel to local schools to present programs about mental health and suicide prevention.
