Christina Peña is the Suicide Prevention Program Coordinator and Youth Self-Advocacy Program Coordinator as well as co-facilitator of the LOSS (Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide) Team. She has worked in many areas of the healthcare industry for more than 12 years.
She began her career with the Department of Aging, helping patients with their medical needs, from day-to-day care and well-being to doctor visits to administering medications. She was also responsible for managing their medical spending, including insurance claims, out-of-pocket costs and pharmaceuticals.
Previously, she devoted her time to making residents of New Beginnings, a domestic violence/crisis center, feel safe and comfortable.
Christina is currently pursuing her degree in Social Work/Public Health. A few of her favorite things include spending time with her amazing family of three sons, a daughter and grandson, cooking, baking, and enjoying nature.
