We Banjo 3 playing for MHA event

NEWARK – We Banjo 3 will perform at 8 p.m. Friday at the Midland Theatre as part of the St. Patrick’s Day with Mental Health Of America of Licking County event.

The band from Galway, Ireland, plays traditional Irish music with a mix of Americana and bluegrass music they call “Celtgrass.” The group is comprised of brothers Enda and Fergal Scahill and Martin and David Howley. They feature banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, percussion and vocals. Their last album, “String Theory,” went to number one on the Billboard World Albums Chart in Aug. 2016.

Tickets are $35 and includes access to the 7 p.m. auction. VIP tickets which also include a meet and greet with the band and appetizers is $100 and starts at 6 p.m. For tickets, call the theater at 740-345-5483 or go to midlandtheatre.org.
