Donna Wayt
Donna Wayt is the Bridges Out of Poverty / Compeer Program Coordinator. After several years working at a Hospice/ Alzheimer’s unit as an STNA/ Activities Aide, Donna developed a passion for sensory art and service work. She specialized in degenerative brain diseases and traumatic brain injuries. She had been a volunteer with the Compeer Circle of Friends for four years when she gratefully accepted the position. She is a compassionate advocate for people suffering from poverty, and persistent reoccurring mental illness / addiction. She is a Recovery Artist and encourages members of the Art Group to identify as an Artist in Recovery, as opposed to identifying with their diagnosis.
