MHA offering depression screenings

NEWARK – Mental Health America of Licking County will offer anonymous depression screenings for National Depression Screening Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at its office, 65 Messimer Drive.

Clinical depression is a common medical illness affecting more than 19 million American adults, but people frequently wait years for treatment or don’t seek treatment out of embarrassment or not understanding the dangers of the condition.

More information and an online screening can be found at mhalc.org.
