High School Students ‘Share the Love’

 

Haylie Schmoll, far right, a Licking Valley senior, shares a message she’s sending to a friend with Krista Pruitt, Pathways prevention coordinator, Friday during a Share the Love event held at Newark High School. Students from area schools gathered for a suicide prevention awareness event to listen to speakers and “share the love” through text messages, Facebook posts, phone calls and emails to friends. They told friends they appreciated their friendship, shared suicide statistics and expressed that there’s always someone to turn to in times of need. 

 

Danielle Wood, who has a survived an attempted suicide, speaks to area students Friday at Newark High School during a Share the Love event advocated suicide prevention awareness.
