Paddy Award nominations being sought

NEWARK — Mental Health America of Licking County is seeking nominations for the The Paddy Kutz Mental Health Award, known as the Paddy.

The award is named for the former MHALC executive director who served in that role for 32 years.

The Paddy honors accomplishments of individuals and organizations that best represent Kutz’s commitment to mental health education and advocacy.

Recipients will receive a commemorative award and be able to nominate a non-profit organization to receive a grant from the agency.

Awards will be given in the categories of education, business and community.

Education will recognize teachers, administrators and school programs that support good mental health of Licking County students.

Business will honor a local company that promotes workplace wellness including mental health training and services. The community category is for a private person or persons who represent passionate commitment to good mental health.

Nomination forms are due by Oct. 16 with the awards to be given Nov. 12 during a ceremony at the DoubleTree Hotel.

Forms are available at mhalc.org. Call 740-522-1341 or email jgoddard@mhalc.org for more information.
